American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with BLS certification for a night shift position providing comprehensive respiratory care and diagnostics.

Details

• Work in a hospital respiratory/neuro diagnostics department
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18:30-07:00)
• Includes at least four weekend shifts per contract, working every third weekend
• Patient assignments range from 10 to 15+ individuals across different floors
• Provides ventilator management, Bipap, Airvo checks, and bedside procedures
• Accompanies patients to MRI, CT, Cath Lab, OR, and for testing and transfers
• Performs bedside PFTs, ABGs, overnight pulse oximetry, bronchoscopy, and additional respiratory therapies

Requirements

• Active BLS and RRT certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Experience providing respiratory care and managing multiple patients
• Willingness to accept first-time travelers based on experience

Additional Information

• Attend and respond to all Codes, first responses, RRTs, fire alarms, STEMI, stroke, trauma, and mass transfusion alerts
• Collaborate with team members during emergencies, CPR, intubation, and equipment setup
• Assist with patient care tasks including PRN treatments, BiPAP/CPAP management, and medication delivery
• Provide respiratory support for critical deliveries in the nursery
• Support neonatologists with surfactant delivery and medication administration
• Maintain and clean respiratory equipment, bronch carts, Glidescope machines, and perform EKGs during off hours
• Perform brain death testing, set up nitric oxide and heliox, and ensure supply readiness
