American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with ER and ICU acute care experience for a night shift role requiring an Arkansas state license.

Details

• Work in a hospital respiratory therapy department rotating through NICU, ICU, COVID units, ER, general floors, and nursery
• Night shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with weekend coverage required
• Patient populations include critical care, neonatal, emergency, and high-risk deliveries in a level 2 nursery
• Assignments include ventilator management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, EKGs, and high-risk delivery support
• Bedside PFTs and bronchoscopy procedures may be performed
• Scrub colors are ceil blue and/or black

Requirements

• Active Arkansas RRT state license required
• Current BLS certification required
• RRT or CRT credential accepted at the same bill rate
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting with ER and ICU exposure
• Experience with vent management, O2 therapy, airway management, respiratory treatments, suctioning, ABGs, and EKGs
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, nursery experience, bedside PFTs, and bronchoscopy experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include rotating through units, attending high-risk deliveries, stabilizing infants, and providing support for neonatal ventilation and oxygenation
• Expect to use RAM cannula, Vapotherm, and heated nasal cannulas in the nursery
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Night shift schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
