American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least one year of pediatric outpatient experience for a daytime position in a pediatric rehab setting.

Details

• Work in a pediatric rehab services department
• Day shift, full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
• Outpatient pediatric patient population
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
• Minimum of 1 year occupational therapy experience in a pediatric outpatient setting
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and develop treatment plans

Additional Information

• Plan, evaluate, and implement both individual and group therapy activities under physician direction
• Evaluate patient skills in areas such as independent living, occupational performance, education, play, and social interaction
• Design adaptive equipment and orthotic devices as needed
• Involve families in goal setting and progress communication
• Assist with discharge planning including equipment orders and home therapy instructions
• May supervise occupational therapy students as part of team responsibilities
• A 6-month separation is required between assignments for returning employees
