Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active Oklahoma licensure and at least one year of experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital Respiratory Care department
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Care for patients across all appropriate age levels in all areas served by the department
• Role includes performing both invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Documentation and treatment responses are recorded in computerized medical records

Requirements

• Active license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT credential required within 12 months if not already held)
• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA required within 3 months of hire
• Minimum one year of respiratory care experience required
• Two years of critical care respiratory experience preferred
• Some computer skills required
• Ability to work under stress and maintain positive working relationships
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff
• Perform as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Act as a resource to medical staff for respiratory care matters
• Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records and documentation
• 50 mile radius rule applies; no local candidates permitted
• Returning employees may only extend one time, with a maximum of 26 weeks before a required 6 month break
