Description

American Traveler seeks a Pediatric Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of pediatric inpatient rehab experience for a day shift contract.

Details

• Inpatient pediatric rehab setting with a multidisciplinary rehab team
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00–16:30
• Daily caseload of 5–8 pediatric patients
• No weekends or on-call required
• No floating between units or sister facilities
• Uses Cerner for documentation; previous experience preferred
• Specialized equipment available includes parallel bars, LiteGait, FES, aquatic therapy tools, wheelchairs, standers, adaptive strollers, and adaptive tricycles
• Productivity expectation is 10 half-hours per day
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Minimum contract length is 12 weeks

Requirements

• Current state PT license required; license must be active prior to assignment start date if applicable
• At least 1 year of recent pediatric rehab experience required
• BLS certification required
• References strongly preferred and must be available upon request
• Must complete pre-start modules (minimum 20 hours) before orientation; self-reported completion
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Non-smoking work environment; no smoking areas on site

• Primary responsibilities include evaluation and intervention for a pediatric inpatient population
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary rehab team to support individualized treatment plans
• No age cutoff for patients; may treat patients of various ages
• Scrubs of any color are permitted as long as they are child-friendly and logo-free
• One holiday time off may be requested; additional holiday requests dependent on facility needs
• No restrictions for local candidates, and locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Return staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
