Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift role requiring at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience and proficiency with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators.

Details

• Work in a large teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation
• Provide respiratory care for patients throughout the facility, including ED, ICU, PCU, and general medical floors
• 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0700 on a 36-hour workweek
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend
• Must float between multiple facilities within Region 1 as needed, including mid-shift if required
• EMR system used is Epic
• Utilizes ventilators including IPPV/NIPPV
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential
• Active NC Respiratory Therapist license (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a respiratory therapist, including ventilator experience (IPPV/NIPPV)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience in emergency, critical care, and general floors required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Perform all aspects of respiratory care throughout the hospital as part of the resource team
• Support provided by respiratory leadership within the department
• Must be willing to float within defined regional facilities and to freestanding EDs if needed
• Orientation includes general and department-specific training
• Royal blue scrubs are required

• Up to 6 days of time off can be approved, excluding holidays, and any missed contracted hours must be added to the end of the contract
