American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU role with Level IV NICU and pediatric critical care experience, night shift schedule, and required certifications.

Details

• Work in a Level IV NICU RRT unit serving neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and some adult patients
• High acuity Level IV NICU with specialized procedures such as high frequency jet and oscillating ventilation
• Pediatric population with a focus on critical care and pediatric cardiac anomalies
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45–7:15)
• Weekend work required, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Orientation provided bi-weekly
• Local candidates accepted with a different pay rate if within a 75 mile radius

Requirements

• Current NC RRT license in hand is required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and emergency department
• Experience with Level IV NICU and pediatric cardiac anomalies required
• Must have experience with high frequency jet and oscillating ventilators
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

Additional Information

• Provide advanced respiratory care for high risk neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
• Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary NICU and pediatric care team
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
