Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a valid NJ license for a night shift contract assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based respiratory therapy department
• Provide care for a diverse adult patient population
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7p-7a, including weekends
• 8-week contract with potential extension
• Use of EPIC EMR system
• May be required to float to nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Completion of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
• Current RRT or CRT credential from NBRC required
• Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapist (RCP) license required if applicable
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or physician office setting required
• Computer literacy required
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from facility

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices
• Support continued supply of durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers
• Assist in patient education and training on use of inhalers and DME equipment
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team
• Candidates may be assigned up to one year and must take a 30-60 day break before returning
• Specific background check and drug screening procedures must be followed
