American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2 years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience and current RRT, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in a pediatric respiratory therapy unit within a teaching hospital
• Care for pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient populations
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation is required
• Floating within scope may be required depending on experience
• No floating to sister facilities
• Epic EMR is used; EMR experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active RRT certification and BLS, PALS, NRP certifications required
• South Carolina RCP license is required at the time of start
• Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients
• NBRC certification accepted
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Social Security Card and Driver’s License required for consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Work collaboratively in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• Completion of required modules prior to start is mandatory
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at application; approval depends on unit needs
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility unless accepted as a local at a reduced rate
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent staff must have separated for at least one year before eligibility to return as a traveler
• Be prepared for possible emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
• Parking pass required for nights and weekends, with a one-time fee
