Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with expertise in adult critical care, PICU, and NICU for a night shift assignment in Florida.

Details

• Work in Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics on the RRT unit
• Care for patients in Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) settings
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Perform advanced respiratory procedures, blood gas lab work, and manage mechanical and non-invasive ventilation

Requirements

• Current Florida or compact RRT license required, if applicable
• Minimum one year experience in Adult Critical Care, PICU, and NICU
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and ALS
• Must provide proof of vaccination status (no declinations allowed)
• Must pass EKG/arrhythmia testing before starting assignment and retest if necessary to meet facility standards

Additional Information

• Perform and document blood gas analysis and quality control procedures
• Assist with and perform intubations, bronchoscopies, and tracheostomies
• Act as a consultant and educator to nursing, ancillary staff, and patients’ families
• Facility is smoke-free
• Scrub requirements not specified
• Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a different bill rate
