Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant with Indiana or compact licensure and 18 months recent acute care experience for a hospital-based role using Cerner EMR.

Details

• Position is based in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday 8:00–16:30, with at least one weekend shift per month
• All staff may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Patient population includes acute care cases as commonly seen in large hospital settings
• Cerner is used for documentation and charting

Requirements

• Active Indiana or compact PTA license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification approved by AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience as a PTA in an acute care setting
• Degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited university required

Additional Information

• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays as scheduled
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment

• Returning employees must have a 12-month break in service before applying as a traveler

• Royal blue scrubs and black shoes required as dress code
