Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience to join a Level 1 pediatric trauma center for a night shift role.

Details

• Work in a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Care for neonate, pediatric, and adult patients depending on clinical needs
• Assigned to various departments including ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general medical floors
• Resource Team position working with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
• EPIC EMR system is used
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 75% holiday coverage required
• No call or floating to other facilities
• Six-week schedule cycle

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• RRT or CRT certification
• Current NC license (license required if applicable)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
• EMR experience with EPIC preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Support provided by respiratory leadership
• Two days of departmental orientation provided in addition to facility orientation
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; additional days require contract extension
