American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) for a 12-hour night shift role with a focus on pediatric and neonate care at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in a busy teaching hospital with 247 licensed beds and Level I pediatric trauma designation
• Perform respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, and adult patients throughout the facility
• Assigned to resource team covering ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric PCU, and general medical floors
• Use of IPPV/NIPPV ventilators and department-specific respiratory equipment
• Epic EMR charting, with training provided if needed
• 12-hour night shifts (approx. 1900-0700), rotating every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers required to work 75% of holidays
• No floating to other facilities
• Initial orientation includes NEO and two departmental days

Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification required
• Active NC licensure required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience (resource team or similar setting)
• Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilator support
• Professional reference from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge RN dated within one year

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services throughout the hospital including critical care and floor units
• Royal blue scrubs required

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved (excluding holidays), and must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours
