Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with at least 1 year of long-term care experience and active Missouri licensure for a day shift position in a skilled nursing facility.

Details

• Work in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM
• No weekend shifts required unless making up hours for holidays occurring during the week
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a PTA
• Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility required
• One professional reference required for consideration
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, documenting patient progress, and communicating with the care team
• Participation in required meetings such as patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings is expected
• Must adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Electronic documentation is required as per company policy
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be considered
• May provide supervision and support to students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
