Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of recent NICU or PICU experience and current Indiana license for a night shift NICU assignment.

Details

• Work in a NICU, PICU, or Pediatric Acute Care setting with assignment to home unit based on facility need
• Primary focus in Labor & Delivery with floating required to PICU and some Pediatric Acute Care units
• Pediatric and neonatal patient population
• Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required
• Use of Cerner EMR system with previous experience required
• Must be willing to float within hospital or to affiliate hospital nearby

Requirements

• Current Indiana State license or Compact license in hand required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of NICU or PICU experience required, with recent Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years
• Labor & Delivery experience required
• NBRC RRT, BLS, ACLS certifications required; NRP required for those placed in L&D (obtainable after offer); PALS preferred
• Education from a program accredited by CoARC and regionally by CHEA
• Certifications from AHA or RQI accepted and must be current
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Will provide respiratory therapy in neonatal, pediatric, and L&D settings as assigned
• May work across different units based on staffing needs
• All travelers required to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• RTO of up to 5 days can be auto-approved
• Returning employees must be separated from IU employment for at least 12 months before consideration
• Local candidates accepted for allied positions
