Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of adult critical care and Level 1 trauma experience for a night shift position.

Details

• Work in an adult and geriatric respiratory/neuro diagnostics setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Use of high flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, BiPap, CPAP, various nebulizer therapies, and mechanical ventilation
• Epic EMR is used; 1 year of Epic experience required
• Floating may be required to other units or campuses based on staffing needs and candidate competency

Requirements

• Active SC RRT license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of adult critical care experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in airway management, extubation, tracheostomy care, and advanced respiratory procedures
• Medication administration experience for a range of respiratory medications and delivery devices
• Minimum 1 year of experience charting in Epic

• Responsibilities include advanced airway management, medication delivery, mechanical ventilation management, and providing care for complex respiratory cases
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Team members are expected to float only to areas where they have demonstrated and documented competencies
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; those under 50 miles are ineligible
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application and are subject to approval
