American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (Registered RRT) with Level 1 trauma and adult critical care experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Work in a hospital setting, primarily in critical care units
• Night shift schedule: 7:00pm to 7:30am, with every other weekend required
• Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas of demonstrated competency
• Must be proficient with high flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Uses Epic EMR with a minimum of 1 year Epic experience required

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license for SC required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years recent experience as an RRT
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Proficiency in adult critical care respiratory procedures including extubation, airway placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene, and specimen collection
• Ability to administer and manage medications via aerosol, Medihaler, Metered-Dose Inhaler, T-piece, trach collar, and nebulizers
• Experience troubleshooting high pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
• At least 1 year of recent Epic EMR charting experience

• Provide respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients in critical care and trauma settings
• Deliver a wide range of respiratory therapies and support airway management
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team and support trauma care
• RTO and special scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application and are subject to approval
• Every other weekend is required for shift coverage
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers for this contract must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus; under 50 miles is ineligible
