Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of acute care experience and Epic proficiency for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in an acute care community hospital with 300 beds
• Night shift position, 12-hour shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am
• Every other weekend required, with no call expectations
• Covers ER, adult med/surg, adult critical care, RT-driven protocols, and in-house transport of vented patients
• Care provided to infants through geriatrics; neonates if demonstrated competency
• Uses Epic EMR; experience required
• Specialized procedures include nebulizer treatments, CPT, high flow oxygen, NIV, cough assist, IPV, intubation and bronchoscopy assistance, mechanical ventilation, continuous albuterol
• Equipment used may include Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Servo I, LTV 1200/HT70
• Pediatric ER and pediatrics covered only with demonstrated competency
• Not used in level 3 NICU
• Travelers within 50 miles accepted at local rate

Requirements

• Active NH state license or eligibility to obtain; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in trauma, community hospital, ER, or adult ICU settings
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or Red Cross only), NH state license
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, CRTT, RRT
• Experience with airway management, medication administration, vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Epic EMR experience required
• References required for consideration (may start with second reference pending)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting with intubations and bronchoscopies, providing in-house transport for mechanically ventilated patients, and utilizing RT-driven protocols
• Work with adult and pediatric populations, excluding level 3 NICU
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Must not have been a former employee at any facility associated with Solution Health
• Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
