Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with at least 3 years of experience and BLS certification for a day shift rehabilitation therapy assignment.

Details

• Work in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Day shift schedule
• Focus on rehabilitation therapy under supervision of a licensed PT
• Treats residents using a variety of therapeutic modalities per established care plans
• Participant in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning

Requirements

• Associate degree required
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PTA
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements

• Responsible for maintaining department cleanliness and equipment standards
• Provides patient education and assists with acquisition and instruction in assistive devices
