Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience to work night shifts with both adult and pediatric patients.

Details

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center
• Night shifts with a 4x12 hour schedule, 18:00–06:00
• Care provided to both adult and pediatric patients, including ICU populations
• Floating may be required within scope and between like units or sister campuses
• Weekend and holiday coverage required every other weekend
• Epic EMR is used and prior Epic experience is required
• Solid black or black and white scrubs required
• Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an RRT
• Current state or compact licensure required if applicable
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult populations in ICU settings required
• Ability to pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Must be comfortable floating as needed
• No background or license hits within the past year

Additional Information

• Must be able to work with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift travelers may extend assignment up to two times
• No more than four days of requested time off will be approved, and only one holiday off is allowed
• Return staff must have been gone for at least one year to be considered
• System limits to two consecutive contracts before a six-month break is required
• Pre-start modules (4–10 hours) must be completed prior to start
• Team environment at a teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
