American Traveler seeks a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with outpatient experience, BLS and CCC-SLP certification for a day shift contract serving children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral challenges.

Details

• Work in an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic setting
• Serve patients with a range of diagnoses including autism, developmental delays, ADHD, and behavioral challenges
• Expected caseload is approximately 8 visits per day with 8 therapy rooms
• Use of EPIC for clinical documentation is required
• 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled from 7:45am to 6:00pm
• Travelers may be required to float to other facilities within the state

Requirements

• Active BLS certification
• Current CCC-SLP certification
• State SLP license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric outpatient SLP experience required
• Experience working with children with autism and strong comfort with their families required
• Experience using EPIC for documentation required
• Proficient in evaluating and treating fluency, language, and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Competence with adaptive and alternative communication devices and boards
• Familiarity with clinical evaluation tools such as CELF, PLS-4, and the Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale
• Required to demonstrate knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• Ability to conduct thorough patient and family education
• Not open to first-time travelers

• Responsibilities include assessment, therapy, and documentation for a pediatric caseload with diverse and complex needs
• Position requires collaboration and education with patient families
• Candidates must be prepared to provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• All requested time off must be declared at application; additional time off will not be accommodated after submission
• Former permanent staff must have a 3-month separation and live outside a 50-mile radius from facility to qualify for travel roles
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be communicated prior to start
• Travelers must have reliable transportation
• All training modules must be completed prior to the start date
• COVID and Flu vaccination may be required as part of onboarding
