American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with adult critical care experience and NBRC, BLS, and SC RCP credentials for a night shift position in a high-acuity freestanding emergency department.

Details

• Position based in a freestanding emergency department with high-acuity adult patients
• Care provided in Adult ICU, stepdown, and general floorcare settings
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required and holidays as needed
• Possible floating to like units
• Uses Epic and Cerner EMR (experience preferred)
• Caribbean blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RRT credential and BLS certification required
• Must hold South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license; license must be in hand at start (license required if applicable)
• NBRC certification required
• Minimum 1 year of adult critical care experience required
• Experience with high-acuity environments necessary
• Epic and Cerner EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers not accepted
• SSN and driver’s license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include respiratory care across ICU, stepdown, and floorcare for adult patients
• All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Free parking available on site
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year prior to returning as a traveler
• Modules must be completed before starting the assignment
• All requested time off (RTO) must be declared before assignment approval
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate, with a 60-mile radius rule
