American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for day shifts, requiring an Illinois SLP license and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Position is based in a pediatric therapy annex
• Serves pediatric patients with speech, language, and feeding impairments
• Collaborates with pediatric PT/OT teams for coordinated interventions
• Day shift hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 26-week contract assignment
• Uses EPIC for electronic medical record documentation, experience required
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Current Illinois SLP license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of relevant pediatric speech therapy experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting required

Additional Information

• Conducts patient evaluations and selects appropriate assessment tools
• Develops individualized patient care plans with measurable goals
• Performs standardized testing to assess function and feeding/swallowing impairments
• Educates patients and caregivers on home programs and activities
• Completes daily documentation and billing in therapy EMR
• Supervises students, completes approved projects, and delivers one in-service annually for clinical ladder advancement
• Must coordinate with other disciplines for integrated care plans
• Time off requests may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers may not work more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning
