American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of recent critical care experience and valid South Carolina RCP license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based respiratory therapy department
• Involves floating to all areas of the hospital as needed, including labor and delivery
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with holiday rotation
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR is used in the facility

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current SC RCP license required at time of start (license required if applicable)
• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RRT credential; CRT not accepted
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required, all in hand at time of start
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Additional Information

• Duties include providing advanced respiratory care and diagnostics across all hospital units
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November
• Team-based work environment with free parking provided
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Orientation modules must be completed prior to start
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible
• All requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to approval based on facility needs
