Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a pediatric respiratory care unit within a teaching, Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Requires working every other weekend and participation in a holiday rotation
• May float within scope to pediatric sister units depending on experience
• Patients include infants, neonates, and children in an acute care setting
• Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience preferred
• Scrub color is Caribbean Blue

Requirements

• Active RRT certification and NBRC credential required
• BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant respiratory care experience
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required; license must be in hand at time of start if applicable
• Experience in similar hospital settings preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted

Additional Information

• Provide specialized respiratory care to pediatric, neonate, and infant patients
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric care team
• Modules must be completed pre-assignment as part of onboarding
• Parking pass required for nights and weekends with a onetime $20 fee
• All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November
• Previous employees must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off (RTO) must be declared prior to submission; approval is based on unit needs
• Local candidates within 60 miles considered at a reduced rate
