American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of recent PICU/NICU experience for a night shift position with floating responsibilities.

Details

• Work in a busy pediatric hospital in a respiratory and neuro diagnostics unit
• Provide care for pediatric patients in both PICU and NICU settings
• Assignment includes floating to sister facilities, Emergency Department, and ICU
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Utilizes Epic and Cerner EMR systems, with Epic experience required
• Experience with V-60, Servo-i, Drager, Hamilton T-1, Vapotherm, and Optiflow required
• Local candidates accepted

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current GA Respiratory Care Professional license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years recent RRT experience with strong pediatric, NICU, and PICU background
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Associate’s degree or higher from a respiratory therapy program with RRT credentials
• NICU and PICU experience required
• Intermediate to advanced FM, ventilator, and triage skills required
• Knowledge of Level I Trauma environment
• Epic and Cerner charting experience
• Recent travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill pediatric patients using advanced respiratory therapy techniques
• Must be willing to float between main hospital, sister facility, ED, and ICU as assigned
• Team-based environment with support from multi-disciplinary staff
• First-time travelers will be considered if skill requirements are met
• Med pass/fail competency test administered during the first week; must achieve 100% within three attempts
• Candidates must be nicotine-free as the campus prohibits any tobacco use
• All required compliance documentation must be submitted seven business days before the start date
• Minimal to no time off is allowed; any requested time off must be included at the time of application
• Copy of diploma, proof of credentials, and current certifications required for consideration
