Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care vent experience and current MA license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a respiratory care unit within a hospital setting that includes Med/Surg beds, ICU, ED, Labor and Delivery, and a Level 2B Nursery
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend required
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Staffing includes 4 Respiratory Therapists on nights
• Rotations are not required for this night shift position
• Utilizes PB980 and Hamilton T1 transport ventilators
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Active MA Respiratory Therapist license required at time of consideration
• Current RRT or CRT certification from NBRC
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting with ventilator management
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases
• Proof of COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population across ICU, Med/Surg, ED, and specialty units
• Work in a team of respiratory therapists with designated roles during each shift
• Parking at some locations may incur daily costs and is not validated
• Respirator FIT testing strongly preferred prior to start; must be completed within 14 days if pending
• All timekeeping conducted through UKG/Kronos system
• RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from central Boston to receive standard rates; closer candidates receive reduced rates
• No religious or medical exemptions for vaccine requirements
