Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and ability to float across multiple facilities in the region.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting with adult and NICU patient populations
• Required to float within multiple regional facilities and freestanding emergency departments as needed
• Night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation is every other weekend
• Travelers must work 75% of holidays, including both winter and summer holidays based on contract length
• Uses Epic EMR and advanced respiratory equipment such as Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
• Non-trauma, non-teaching, Chest Pain and Stroke Center environment
• Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• RRT or CRT required
• Current NC licensure required; license required if applicable
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Proficiency in critical care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and floor therapies
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the home unit
• First-time travelers accepted

• Provide respiratory therapies to adult and NICU patients using advanced equipment
• Work collaboratively with respiratory care leadership and staff
• Mandatory orientation includes general and two departmental days
• Scrub color is royal blue

• Approved for up to 6 days time off (RTO), excluding holidays; additional time off requires extending contract
• If floating mid-shift, traveler remains on the clock and is compensated for travel between facilities
