Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with two years of acute care experience and California licensure for a hospital-based role covering all age groups and acuity levels.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting across all units including ICU and Emergency Department
• Patient population includes all age groups and acuity levels; no NICU or PICU coverage required
• Performs respiratory care and neurodiagnostics, including EKG and ABG procedures
• Uses Epic charting; prior Epic experience preferred
• Variable schedule with primarily mid shifts; exact shift to be discussed during interview
• Includes both day shifts (6:00-14:30) and night shifts (22:00-6:30)
• Must be able to float to all units as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RRT license required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapist experience
• Certifications required: BLS, PALS, NRP, all must be from AHA or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Intubation competency required
• Experience performing EKG and ABG procedures required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of accepting offer
• Only one holiday request off will be approved per contract
• Return staff must have been gone at least one year to be eligible
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are accepted at a different rate
• Modules and e-learning requirements are completed during orientation
• References from two supervisors within the past two years are required for consideration
