American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year experience for a hospital-based lymphedema and outpatient rehabilitation program, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Details

• Hospital-based outpatient rehab department specializing in lymphedema care
• Collaborate regularly with OTs/OTAs, PT/PTAs, SLP, wound care clinic, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors
• Patient population spans young/middle adults to geriatrics with a mix of diagnoses, including lymphedema care
• Typical patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule, posted as 5x8s with 4x10s also available and flexible scheduling options
• No weekend or call requirements
• May float within facility and scope of practice to an acute care inpatient unit as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• GA OT license required (license required if applicable)
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Lymphedema certification preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with adult outpatient and adult rehabilitation settings

Additional Information

• Provide OT evaluations, assessments, plans of care, reassessments, and discharge planning
• Perform lymphedema management, splinting, and manual therapy techniques
• Work with adaptive equipment, orthopedic rehab programs, and prosthetics/orthotics including dynamic, functional, and static splints
• Provide patient and family education on safety and injury prevention
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Full compliance required to start on time, with a two-week delay if not met due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
