Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring GA licensure, NBCOT certification, and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Details

• Acute care Occupational Therapy department supporting patients throughout the hospital via physician orders
• Wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses including ICU, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility
• 8-hour day shift schedule, varying between 8a-4:30p
• 5 shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Current GA Occupational Therapist license required, if applicable
• NBCOT certification required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within specialty

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• 1 summer holiday coverage also required
• Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning staff who previously worked in a permanent role must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be requested prior to accepting an offer and cannot be requested afterward
